Handmade Afghan Jajim Kilim Rug

This is a brand new Jajim Kilim rug, handmade in Afghanistan. often feature bold and intricate geometric patterns, including diamonds, triangles, hexagons, and other geometric shapes. They are renowned for their vibrant and rich colour palettes. Reds, blues, greens, and earthy tones are commonly used, creating visually striking patterns. Unlike other rugs, kilims are flat-woven which means there is no raised surface and they are reversible - both faces of the rug can be used. This is achieved by tightly interweaving the warp (vertical) and weft (horizontal) threads.

Due to the handmade nature of these rugs, some edges may not be straight.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the colours and shades may vary slightly due to the specific angle and lighting when photos are taken. This means that the carpet you receive may look slightly different from the picture. Additionally, carpets naturally have a "light" side and a "dark" side, which is determined by the orientation of the wool pile. This is a characteristic of carpets and should be taken into consideration when choosing a carpet for your space.
