This is a brand new authentic Yamut rug, handmade in Afghanistan. This is an area rug that can be placed in larger central spaces in living rooms, bedrooms, foyers, dining rooms, study rooms and kitchens.

These traditional rugs originate from the nomadic Yamut tribe in Turkmenistan. Yamut rugs are typically woven using the asymmetrical knot technique, also known as the Persian knot or Senneh knot. This knotting method results in a dense, sturdy pile that can withstand years of use. It also has a soft texture due to the quality wool used. Authentic Yamut rugs are highly sought after by collectors for their historical value and rarity, as the nomadic lifestyle of the Yamut tribe has become increasingly rare in modern times.

Due to the handmade nature of these rugs, some edges may not be straight.
