Handmade Afghan Bokhara Rug | 228 x 156 cm

This is a brand new authentic Bokhara rug, handmade in Afghanistan. These types of rugs have a thicker pile than other rugs and are much softer. Its softness in texture comes from repeatedly combed wool which is washed several times to give a silkier feel to the rug. This also gives the colour an attractive gradient appearance. The traditional color of a Bokhara rug is red, but others can also be found in rust, tan, orange, light and dark blue, green, aqua and gold.

Due to the handmade nature of these rugs, some edges may not be straight.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the colours and shades may vary slightly due to the specific angle and lighting when photos are taken. This means that the carpet you receive may look slightly different from the picture. Additionally, carpets naturally have a "light" side and a "dark" side, which is determined by the orientation of the wool pile. This is a characteristic of carpets and should be taken into consideration when choosing a carpet for your space.
