They are one of the most recognisable Persian rugs in the world and have a characteristic central medallion design, with with dense floral ornaments in the field and border. This layout is copied in various other fine Persian rugs including \u003cem\u003eTabriz\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eHeriz\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eIsfahan \u003c\/em\u003eand \u003cem\u003eQom \u003c\/em\u003erugs, and represents the Persian concept of an organized and idealized garden. They are easily distinguished from other rugs by their red field and navy blue border.
